A warm welcome, real fire, excellent scrumpy. What's not to like. Out of the way, yes, but worth a visit for a quiet drink and chat or some food if you want.
This is a traditional local pub, offering cosy open fires and friendly company. The beer and cider is well kept, and in the latter part of the week a full menu is available from the talented chef. Good value.

Good location with outdoor garden space to enjoy on a summer's evening. A good pub menu, dining space is bigger than you think from the outside. Courteous and friendly staff. Prompt service. Ample parking but also easy to get to on foot.
Nice Pub. Good pub grub - fish and chips was good, My wife enjoyed the burger and the kids had a sausage and mash (smaller portion of main meal). Rather than a kids menu you can ask for a kids portion of the main. Washed down with some Timothy Taylor. Big beer garden with some play equipment. Great service.
