Had a meal with friends yesterday evening having not visited for some time. Good menu with pleasant service and all the meals were excellent. We will certainly be back soon.
2nd visit to the Barge Inn, great location right by Bradford in Avon town centre, easily walkable to everything. Friendly helpful staff, currently sat by an open fire with food en route. I stay for business, will be back again, thank you!
Onion rings were oily. The fish was very small. A little disappointed in the food but the service was nice and the waitress/bar lady very welcoming
Four of us greeted warmly by the new manager (3 days on the job) had starter and main, really good restaurant style food.
The food was good and the service friendly. In warmer weather it would be great to eat right by the canal. Decor in a state of transition. I'd like to go back and see if they've finished the job. Not quite fully professional. A mistake was made with the wine we ordered and instead of simply replacing the bottle we were charged for the part of the other one that we had already drunk. But this was a detail, and the overall experience good.
